With a good heart

Another day...Life passes ya by so quickly. I have been trying to create something EVERYDAY. So far it has been working. I don't have to finish or post them. Just make. I think it has kept my creativity fresh. It also helps to get happy mail every once in a while! Ha!

I made this page using the So cal kit from Studio Calico. I love this shot of my sister, mom, and grandma. Sitting on my couch on one of our many get togethers.

Another shot of Santa Cruz. I have many. You all know this. I cant get enough. I am hopping I get to go this year again. Sadly I am missing out on the lost boys movie on the beach. AGH!!! Super sad.

Me. A family friend took this one of me. I was snapping away with my camera and she with hers. I love that i totally didn't know she was taking it. Used the So cal kit for this one too.

We just did our annual Camp in your back yard day. Kids always have a great time. I think it is because they get to roast things on the fire. LOL! Pictures to come soon!

I am off to scrap with the girls! YAY! Can't wait.

My sister Janna chillin at my house. I usually get her when she isn't looking lol!

On my birthday hubby made me a special dinner. He is the sweetest. (I used lots of Studio Calico for these pages)

I have a great friend named Ashley and she asked me to come celebrate my bday with her...I did and these are highlights of that day. I so enjoyed myself.(crate paper pretty party)

A few fathers day cards I threw together. I am not in love with them but they were for 2 special men in my life. My dad and hubby.

On to my weekend. I had such a crazy full 4 days off. Went with my buddy Amy and we saw Bret Michaels and Slaughter. Pretty fun. Blast from the past. I was about 10 when I liked poison.

It was at a casino so we decided to play slots. I lost 20 bucks. I am not a gambler. I cashed out and got depressed lol! I wish scrap supplies came out the machines. I might play more. Haha!

We had fun, we had a few drinks, and then I pooped out around midnight and went to our beautiful hotel room. The bed just swallowed me up. It was lovely. I had such a awesome time.

Then sunday was fathers day. I made hubby Chile colorado. Yum. He made some awesome salsa and I drove to get my dad in Jamestown.

Kids of course went swimming. It was so hot!

Driving home we took this photo of the sunset on a lovely weekend. Hope you enjoyed yours!

You got a brand new key

Welcome to the instagram blog hop. We girls share a common bond, or should I say a few. We all create with our hands, we all love taking photos, and we like to see other peoples work. My most favorite thing about scrapbooking is the friend I have made along the way. There are MANY. I am so thankful for that!

So just a few layouts to share with you. I have been scrapping like a mad woman lately. I have been trying to create a little something every day. It releases stress and makes me happy.

My son had found this heart cloud in the sky. I ran in to get my camera and took a pic. I love this picture to bits. I used bits of studio calico, hambly, washi tape, and my minds eye.

This one was super simple to make. I like those pages. Splashed some paint. Added some layers and viola!

Lastly this one is of my daughter and her best friend. They were going to a church dance and of course I had to take pictures. They looked so pretty. I love that they let me do a mini photo session with them. No matter how mini it was lol!

Now on to the prize. If you enjoy my work and feel like winning this prize all you have to do is become a follower of my blog and leave me a comment saying you did. You can also follow me on Facebook, twitter, and instagram. But that is only if you want to! Hehe! (usernames bettiescrapbook, real name Marie Ramirez)

This is a mini book I made using part of the So cal kit from studio calico. I am in love with their stamps, as I assure u, a lot of people are. Leave me a comment telling me you have become a follower and I will draw names. Already a follower you say? Well never fear just leave a comment telling me what your fav thing about summer is.

All of my change I spent on you

I have been a scrappin fool lately! Would you agree. I am afraid to stop creating. If I stop then I may go on hiatus again and I don't want that. When I get lazy, I really get lazy. I am gonna go with it as long as I can. I don't really care if they turn out fabulous as long as I am happy doing it! So enjoy the show...

I really liked doing so many layers on this page. I don't like to create the same kind of layouts all the time. I try to change it up. I mean yes I always do layers. It feels foreign if I don't. As you will see these two pages are different. I like to change up the over all size too. I hope it keeps my work from getting stale. This was my birthday dessert. Strawberry shortcake has always been a fav of mine.

When I seen those Heidi swapp bows on instagram I knew I had to have them. Little did I know how difficult they would be to use on a page. I mean I love dimension but man those things really pop. I came back to this page a few times and it took me a good 4 hours to complete. I actually had to turn the pic and reverse the cluster. I like it better now.

That little car my son gave me. I think because it was pink he wanted me to have it. I loved it and now carry it in my purse where ever I go. I say it is my good luck charm.

Just a few pics of the past week I would like to share.

Yummy bbq.

My daughter Raven made me a unicorn bust.

Chocolate chip cookies. Yum.

And the kids tried escargot. Yes. Gross. 2 liked and 2 did not. I filmed it. It's on my facebook if you're interested.

The winner to the hambly blog hop is....

What awesome cards!!! love that stamp!!!
New follower here :)

Congrats Jessica! Email your address to and I will get those cards to you soon!

If you didn't win that prize but are in a prize winning mood, I have another blog hop going on till midnight tonight. The hambly post below this one. If you leave me a comment there and become a follower then I will send you a little something.

Even after all that hoppin I managed to pump out a few layouts. Here is one I did for the Studio Calico Sunday Sketch.

A picture of the giant dipper in Santa Cruz. This ride is one of my favs but it kills my back every time. I mean even when I was a kid! I have to say my 84 year old grandmother went on it! She was hurting for a while after tho! I hope I am that way when I get to be her age.

And a few more just because I love to create with my hands!

I did this photo for the photo a day challenge in feb. I try to find a different way of photographing things on that list. This one was a heart.

Another a photo a day pic. Again me being silly. I love silly.

Instagram photo. I really do adore spring. It is not to hot, not to cold. The flowers are blooming and birds are singing. Ahhh! I must say I do also love fall tho. Hehe!

One last thing...Another blog hop is coming this weekend...32 blogs are on the list! That is 32 chances to win some fab prizes. Will you be there?

Heavy heart

Welcome to the Fond Farwell hambly blog hop. I have been honored and so happy to have been on this dt. The ladies are so very talented and it was a pleasure working with them!

It is with a heavy heart and a tear in my eye that I type this right now. I have been scrapbooking for 9 years now and I have to say Hambly has been a constant in my journey. I have loved their products from the get go. The designs have always been on the cutting edge and brought inspiration to me. I will miss them deeply.

I guess all good things come to an end. To celebrate my love for hambly I did one last project to share with you all. Of course this doesnt mean the end of me using hambly. I have a stock pile to last me a while.

Before I show you the new let me show you the old. I made this a while back and it was published in scrapbook trends mini album book. I wasnt able to share till now. Used lots of hambly on this one

Now with the new. I made this one to showcase all my little instagram photos I have been taking daily. Something simple, yet beautiful. I love how it turned out. I hope you do too.

What is a blog hop without a prize...Well I will be giving away a little hambly lovely-ness something made by me. Just become a follower and leave me a comment telling me you did so. If you are already a follower leave me a comment about what you will miss most about hambly.

Thank you all for joining me on this journey.

Your next stop is.... Mou Saha
