Picture book

The new ScrapMojo challenge is up! My wonderfully amazing friend Cindy is our guest. I use to stalk her creations every month on Zingboom. She has a style like no other. She truly is a artist. You have to go check out her creation it is freakin awesome!

I had fun with this challenge. I try to think of stuff that will inspire but also make people go "hmm I never thought of using that!". (Talking about the challenges not my page lol!)



This is such a crappy pic! I think my camera is mad at me because I haven't used it for a while! LOL! Anyway I used the piece the chipboard ppl come on..popped them out and then sprayed it with my handy dandy glimmer mist. I then laid it down on my paper and traced the people. Took it to my typewriter and typed inside the people the lyrics to a paramore song. Its about my husband and I. We have been together for 15 yrs and we struggle at times but we still have electricity.

In surgery news...I sent out invitations to my blog to the people who emailed me and also emailed them back making sure they got them but they never responded so Im assuming that it went to your junk mail. If so email me again and I will try again.
(mariescorner@myctmh.com)I've lost 51lbs and its been 2 months and 2 weeks. I am pretty happy about that. I feel a little better. If I could remember to take my vitamins I think I would feel top notch. Alas I've always had a plm taking pills so I fear it's never meant to be ha!

Not much else to report except I'm being lazy and my cats knocked all my stuff off my desk for the millionth time and I'm about ready to kill them all! Hehehe! I hope you all are having a wonderful week!

My happiness depends on you

Michelle, yes it was and is from the Dolly Parton song Jolene. Love that song and White Stripes did a remake of it that is rockin. It's on my playlist of course. Anyway back to why I'm posting. ;)

I got my lovely RVK yesterday!!! Man, loves it. (OH wait i have to say this. I just watched that Paris Hilton video about her being president. Kinda funny but so not the point. I heard her say "Loves it". WTF! NOOOOOOO! I am not a fan of hers in anyway and the only reason I say it is because of Lord of the Rings. So thought I would let you all know hahaha!) Wow that was a long (). Ok so I broke into my kit and went to work on it last night. Busted out 6 pages. YEAH! I still had stuff left over! WOOT! Here they are.

I don't know if you all are like me but my first page is usually the worst. This is the first page I did.

People try to put us d-down

Last night I watched vh1 rock honors The Who (did anyone else see it?). It was fabulous. It made me appreciate that my childhood was filled with such wonderful music. I use to think it was sad that I had no culture due to the fact that my parents are not just one ethnicity. I'm Irish, dutch, Portuguese, German, and Indian. Those are just the ones I know. Last night tho made me realize I do have culture to celebrate and its music. I wouldn't trade that for the world. I love music. I cant create unless its there playing. I cant clean as well unless there is something I can sing to and when its not playing on my laptop or computer its playing in my head. I grew up on some wonderful bands. My aunt and uncle were hippies and constantly had Pink Floyd, Beatles, The Who, The Doors and Jim Croce playing. My mom passed on her old records to me and I cherish them. Elton John, Peter Frampton, The Beatles, John Lennon...Just to name a few. I also grew up on old country, Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams....I love it all. I am grateful that I had such diverse and wonderful music to listen to.

Now that you heard my whole shpeal of how i love music and blah blah, on to other things. I made the catwalk this week! Woot! Made me smile after a some what shitty day. Thanks Celine. She picked my olw page that you see below this post.

I have like 8 layouts sitting here waiting for me to finish them. I start it and then decide i have a idea for something else and move on. Grrr I need to stop that. Im working on a sis challenge right now and the scrapjacked too. My cats keep knocking over my crap so it hard to keep things organized and off the floor.

Oh I almost forgot I went and saw x-files! Yes it was everything I had hoped for. No alien gov conspiracy crap! YAY! Hubby took me and that meant the world to me because he is not a x-files fan. Thanks hubs.

I did OLW challenge yesterday and really like how it came out *gasp*! I know I never like what I put out but this one is ok. I mean after I post it then i start to pick it apart but oh well.





I was inspired by the song by catpower. The lyrics are typed on the paper and the pic. Sometimes my life seems like its cursed and you wonder what you did to deserve some of the things that come your way. This song conveys that for me.

It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah

I actually have been scrappin these past few days! YAY! I think I'm finally getting my mojo back. I just gotta keep on plowin through. This month is my last month on the dt over at scrap for a cure. I'm sad but I needed to take a break from all that and get myself back together. Now I am only on Red Velvet (which is enough for me).

I did however apply for the hambly dt. I wasn't expecting to get it and I am sorta glad I didn't. When I applied I was right out of surgery and pushed myself to make pages for it. I just wasn't feeling it. Of course I didn't know I was going to have so many plms with this surgery either. Anyway here are my submissions.


My sister Janna. I love that she has no cares of what other ppl think of how she dresses. I'm glad that she is unique.

I do love my wallet tho. Was thinking of selling some in my etsy soon. We will see.
