Tonight We Are Young

Today I would like to share with you a new something. Something I have been resisting for oooo 5 years (give or take). Seriously. I love studio calico products, but the kits I just wasn't feeling. I didn't understand all the hype. I refused to jump on THAT train. That all changed with Aprils kit. I loved it. Something in my brain clicked and I had to have it. Of course when I seen that Sass was making products for it that did me in!
I think I have made a total of 12 pages with this kit! I am in love. This page is of my daughter and I at Santa cruz. We were on the Wheel. That thing scares the crap out of me but I knew I would get some lovely photos. And I did.

I was inspired by wall art on pinterest. I have seen many sunbursts in scrapbooking but I really liked the way this was on the wall art. I tried to recreate that feel.

This one might be one of my favs. The cardstock color goes so well with the photo. I usually use white and Kraft. That's it. But it was in the kit so I had to use it lol!

My husband took this pic of me and I think it is my most fav. Ever. He sees me like no one else. He truly thinks I am beautiful.

Well that's all I am going to share for now. I have a ton more. Looks like I have officially jumped on that train! I cant wait for next months! Hahaha! Do you subscribe?

That's what makes you beautiful

I wish I had something clever to say on here all the time. I dont. I guess I am a girl of few words. So today I will just share a random page I made. No deadlines, no challenges, just because. I like those pages most sometimes.

Made using sass. I miss them. So sad they will not be making more products. Oh well. Lucky I have SC and Crate to keep me happy. ;)

Dreaming of Paradise

More stuff to share. This first one I made just because. Not to often I get to do that anymore. What with work and dt assignments, its nice to scrap without any deadlines or special requests. I used Cosmo cricket and Love My Tapes fabric tape on this one.
You will see lots of photos from Santa Cruz. Yeah I kinda love it there.

This one is for a random page for Hambly. Love their washi tape and this page was super simple to put together.

Speak of washi tape...Did I tell you I was published? Yeah...

I really am in love with this mini I made. My fav so far. It also was simple to make and I used a lot of hambly. I will post the actual creation once I get it back. LOL!

Went to scrap with my girls at scrapbook territory a few weekends ago. LOVE doing that. We had a blast of course. For some reason we don't take many pics but we managed a few.

I only love you when I'm down

I have been creating pages left and right these past few days. I think it is the Random collection by Crate Paper that has inspired me so. It took a day or two but I got out of the funk I was in and got busy.
The colors are so springy it kinda takes me out of the whole Halloween mode. I need to get some really good Halloween papers to inspire me! Although I did find that cute printable on Pinterest. The AC Halloween line is super cute too. Used that on my scrapjacked project.

I am so inspired by quilts and this is a quilt pattern I found on the Internet. Very simple and fun. The picture if of my husband and my feet on the beach watching lost boys in Santa Cruz. I NEVER get tired of scrapping these pictures. Never.

Rowans Bday part was Sunday. He had a lovely time. We bought him a MP3 player, sketch book and pens, and gave him a little spending money. Here is the happy bday boy opening pressies.

I made juicy Lucy's, chili cheese fries and a ice cream cake. the ice cream cake was a disaster. I really should've made it the night b4. Oh well. Still tasted good lol!

We also had our first Friday fright night last Friday. Kids love when we do that. We had grilled cheese and bacon sandwiches with soup, snacked on marshmallows and watched Children of the Corn and The others.

My hubby had a glow stick and he TRIED to scare the kids. We creeped outside and was staring in the window but my youngest son saw him right away and wasn't scared. Booo! LOL! We ended up breakin the glow stick open and painting our faces with it. They thought that was great.

As I stated I did a whole months worth of menu planning. Monday nights dinner was...

Roasted Garlic Mushrooms(sooooooo Delicious!)Pesto chicken, and white cheddar pasta shells.(From the box)

Loved it!

Go on and take it

I have had such a full and wonderful summer! Ups and downs but full of new memories and experiences. Kids went back to school last Tuesday...Already! I went on a shopping adventure with the 15 year old. I love her at this age because everything she buys I can wear too! YAY! Well almost everything. Some of it I wouldn't wear so I try to "guide" her in the right direction! hehehe!

I met up with Ashley, Gina and Suzy a couple times and we have had so much fun. I feel truly blessed to have so many crafty friends in my life! Love it! I didn't get anything done tho.

I did however, in between all the other things I was doing, manage to get my Creative type challenge done! It was a fun one too. Scrap a vacation you have been on or want to go on and use mist. I scrapped me and hubby's little vaca to Santa Cruz last year to see Lost Boys on the beach.

The tag is from Shabby Chic Crafts.Love this photo of my hubby on the boardwalk eating a yummy ice cream. Isn't he so handsome?!?

Make sure you go and play along with us! Scrap those vacation photos!
