People always told me be careful what you do

I have a bunch of A Million Memories stuff to share with you all today. I created a countdown calendar for my kids. Used plastic eggs and my April Amm kit. You can make a whole flat of them but I have 4 children so I wanted to keep it simple.

So here is how you make your own.
~SUPPLIES~
scissors
white glue
Water
crepe paper streamers
PP paper
glitter of choice
Empty egg carton
Styrofoam plate
plastic eggs
scallop punch

1. Make a mixture of 2 parts glue to one part water.


2.Tear crepe paper streamers in to bits. No need to be precise, you want a chunky look to your eggs.

3.Begin by brushing the eggs with the glue mixture.

4.Place your crepe paper bits on the egg coated in glue. I use the straight edges at the opening of the egg. Make sure to not make it perfect, a little chunky never hurt anyone. :)

5.Smooth out the crepe paper with the glue mixture. I find my finger worked the best for this. Add your glitter while the glue is wet. Set aside to dry.

6.Punch scalloped circles from PP. Roll edges in glue and cover in glitter. Add your nbrs.Add pop dot to back and glue pop dot to egg above opening. Viola!

I am filling mine with bible verses and candy of course. Enough for each of them to have a piece.The grass is just streamers cut into stripes to make it look like grass.

Lastly this page of my bike. I love my bike. This page is showcasing that love. The kit is so beautiful and filled with lovely stuff. I still have a TON of things to make with it. Michelle really puts together some awesome kits. :)

I have so many creative things swimming around in my head, amongst deadlines. I hope to get to them all soon.

I love shopping. I love it even more when its a great deal. The flea market just down the road from me is my fav. Next is the goodwill/thrift stores and antique shops.

On one of my outings I found this lovely candy dish.

I would also like to share with you my cheap and easy New Years decoration.

You all know I am on a SUPER TIGHT budget.


Most of my decorations are handmade.

I was trying to figure out what to fill my apothecary jars with for the month. I think this was one of the best and cheap ideas I have had so far. I really love it. Used my printer and my paintshop program...Viola!

And I have some lovely beautiful scrappyness to look forward to! I love happy mail. I ♥ AMM! OMG what a way to start out the new year. I cant wait to get this kit. The vintage buttons are to die for.

Lastly I finally scrapped a page. It's been a month or two...maybe 3. Anyway I cant share the whole thing but I can give you a peek. Used my PSA stamps. This one is for their spot on HSN.


A little food for thought, is blogging dead? I have noticed not only on my blog but my friends also a decline in comments. Has FB and Twitter and all those other social medias killed blogging? I say more here then I do on any of my social networks. I will continue to share on my blog regardless. What do you think?

Gobble gobble goo and gobble gobble giggle

Thanksgiving is 3 days away. I am not fully prepared. I am sure it will all be a last min thing if I ever really truly reach that finish line. Something is always left out. It is weird I usually don't do Thanksgiving so I don't decorate for it. I am always dreamin of Christmas. Since it is at my house this year I feel like I cant even look at Christmas decorations.


I have done a few more things in my house. I painted a black shelf. The black was just to harsh so white just seemed to be the appropriate fix. I distressed it a bit.


I made some more of the crepe paper rolled flowers in fall colors of course.


The vase is from the dollar tree and I just wrapped some Hambly around it. It looks lovely with a tea light in it also.

Didn't cost me anything because I had all the stuff laying around. If I didn't it would've cost me 2 bucks to make (if that).

I didn't get my little fall ornaments made nor a fun fall frame that I seen online. Next year. I did however manage to make a banner and tic tac toe games for the kids. I will post those wed.

Somedays arent yours at all.

First I would like to share a little banner I made using the PSA stamps. I used my fav little voodoo guy. He is soo freakin cute!




Super quick and easy to make. Used crepe paper streamers from the dollar tree for the ruffles on the sides and the circles.

It is hanging above my fireplace which I will soon share with you all. I have a few more things to make for the mantel deco and it will be complete!



Elvira is back on tv! Loved her as a kid and she still looks smokin hot! She is almost 60!! Her show is freakin funny and I get to watch some scary old ones that I may or may not have seen. Check your local listings for times and channel.

Halloween tv time! I have watched a few scary movies (none worth mentioning). The kids and I watched Beetlejuice and spookley the square pumpkin (very cute). I have the Halloween Towns on DVR and Hocus Pocus somewhere watiting. Sweeney Todd, Nightmare before christmas, Corpse Bride, Halloween and many others are on the list of must watch. Do you have one you must watch every year?

I have a life lesson to share with you all. Yes I feel like an idiot, but we all make mistakes and maybe I can share my stupidity with you all and you can learn a thing or two lol!
LIFE LESSON

Well we had a nice learning experience this weekend. My son's birthday was sat. Fri night we took him to go pick out his super cool bike that he wanted. He was so very excited and couldn't wait to ride it. Wal mart didn't have a proper helmet for him so we were gonna go after the part and buy him one. Uh yeah. Anyway getting ready for the party son asked to ride his bike a min. We figured it was ok right in front of the house as when WE were kids we NEVER wore helmets and he wasn't going only about 40 feet.

I went to the store to pick up his ice cream for the sundaes and as I am heading back I get a call. My husband " we have a serious situation." Me "What?" My husband "Rowan apparently fell off his bike and now has a concussion and needs to be taken to the hospital and he is a street over." Me "WTH?!?! I will be right there!"

I find the house my son is at and immediately wanna cry and scream. I try to compose myself. He is crying and has a ice pack on his head but he is conscious talking and walking. I ask him WHY he thought it was ok to ride so far and WHY he did not listen to us and WHAT it was that he was doing to hit his eye/head.



I really thought I was going to have to cancel his bday and take him to the ER. I got the boy home cleaned his scraped knuckles and assessed the damage. He says " I really wish this day was over. This is the worst day ever!" Felt really really bad. I asked him the questions you would ask someone if they had a concussion and he had no signs. I told him to sit relax keep the ice on his head and we shall see how he is doing. Every 5 mins I asked if he felt tired and how his head felt. He was ok.



I am glad to say the party went on and he now has a nice shiner to brag about to all the kids. I and hubby have learned a valuable lesson...None of the children will ride a bike (not even 1 foot) without a helmet! LOL! We all make mistakes and sometimes we learn a few good points from them. Oh and we got him a helmet that same day. Aria asked to ride his bike. I asked her if she had a helmet (because all the kids did at one point) and she sheepishly answered no. Well there is your answer kido! ha!
