I love shopping. I love it even more when its a great deal. The flea market just down the road from me is my fav. Next is the goodwill/thrift stores and antique shops.

On one of my outings I found this lovely candy dish.

I would also like to share with you my cheap and easy New Years decoration.

You all know I am on a SUPER TIGHT budget.


Most of my decorations are handmade.

I was trying to figure out what to fill my apothecary jars with for the month. I think this was one of the best and cheap ideas I have had so far. I really love it. Used my printer and my paintshop program...Viola!

And I have some lovely beautiful scrappyness to look forward to! I love happy mail. I ♥ AMM! OMG what a way to start out the new year. I cant wait to get this kit. The vintage buttons are to die for.

A little food for thought, is blogging dead? I have noticed not only on my blog but my friends also a decline in comments. Has FB and Twitter and all those other social medias killed blogging? I say more here then I do on any of my social networks. I will continue to share on my blog regardless. What do you think?

Oh what joy and what suprise

Sandy requested I do a video on the trees so look for that soon. My daughters birthday party was on saturday so I have not done much in crafting. Actually I have done a big fat NOTHING. I am hoping this week I will be more productive. It is not for lack of wanting to do some crafting but I guess I am lacking the get up and go.

Had my radiology final. Thought it was gonna be pretty easy but ended up being pretty hard. Got a B, not bad. I only have 3 more MODS left! I am excited and scared. PRO: I like only being gone for 4 hours a day. CON: don't like being broke! LOL!

I found this cool free app for my Iphone called INSTAGRAM. It is kind of like facebook in pictures. I really like it. Here are a few of those photos I have taken.






I have more Christmas decor to share. The living room is sorta messy. I did realize I have yet to take a pic of my living room as a whole but that is because I cant really arrange it like I want. I will do that soon.

I have some ornaments I will be (hopefully) making this weekend and sharing those how to's with you too.

Made some Blueberry muffins last weekend. They were so yummy. I cheated they were just a box but were still delish! hehehe!




Last but not least I have some flea market finds to share. I was very lucky a few weekends ago. I found some beautiful vintage Christmas decorations for hecka cheap. Talking pennies.



I got these for a hole .25 each! My heart fluttered when I found them. The pink one is my favorite.

I also picked up this enamelware roaster for 5 bucks!



I really needed a good roaster and this one does the trick. Love it.

I scored more but will share them soon. Now I am off to catch up on deadlines and what not. Happy holidays everyone!

There'll be pennies from heaven for you and me

My last post for this month. I have officially put away all the thanksgiving/fall decor and busted out the Christmas stuff. Before I start posting all the wonders that is Christmas I have one last fall decorating (and thanksgiving day) post to share.



My sweet little dvd cabinet that I fixed up. Notice one of my most precious mercury glass knobs is broke? Hubby did that. When he told me about it I wanted to cry. My husband of course was very sorry. It still stings when I see it missing. I will someday be able to replace it. Anyway I printed the little vintage postcard to stick in my apothecary jar and that little owl cost me .75, feather, pumpkins and leaves all fill the other jars. Free fall stuff.



The thankful banner I made with my PSA stamps. They have the most beautiful letters. I will be making another for Christmas. I love how it came out. Very easy too.

I also made the kids tic tac toe games for them to play while they waited for dinner or after.

All of it has been packed away for next Thanksgiving. We did have a pretty good day. Stressful but good. The kids loved all the food.



The turkey looks really good. Sadly I think I cooked it a little to long. It wasn't as juicy as I wanted. I don't have a meat therm so I was really just guessing. Next year I am investing in one.


Finished the feast off with a little friendly game of chess with Uncle Rob.



Oh and a tat done by my 14 (soon to be 15) year old daugher Raven.

December holds so many things. Christmas mantel is started. Ravens 15Th birthday is being planned. A little get together with a whole lot of family Christmas eve. *sigh* Of course a whole lot of Christmas craftiness. Stay tuned.

Everything seems to look as it should

First let me tell you the new Mojo is up! Come and play along.


This month is soooo busy. I have so many things planned in between work of course. Last weekend we went up and visited Columbia. My mama is a Docent up there and they were having a event they call The Diggins. The park sets up a tent town and they have the docents act out how it was in the 1800's. It is really neat. My mom worked at the laundry and the bakery.

I have been to Columbia many many times but never been to this event. We had a wonderful time indeed. You had to buy "eagles" if you wanted to get anything there.


Those 3 went to all the lemonade you could drink and a cute tin cup you got to keep. There was lots to do and see. We had a wonderful time.

Ok so that is all I will share from our trip. On to a house pic. I re-did my frame wall. Tell me what ya think.

I went croppin with Erika and my cousin. Had a great time. I am really looking forward to a crop in Berkley on the 25th! My girls Kerry, Nikki, Ginger, Diane, and maybe Cheri, Erika, and cousin will be there too! It will be a hoot.

This weekend is my husband and my 3 year wedding anniversary. Oh and fathers day too lol! I have two days off work so that should prove to be very lovely. Cant wait for that. Then the weekend after is NWF camp out in your back yard day! Mark your calendars for June 26th if you want to participate.

I'm planning our second annual Tea party, & second annual Boys vs Girls water balloon fight! Not to mention Lost Boys on the beach in Santa Cruz, one of my fav movies at my fav beach! Can't wait for that!

And it whispers to me softly, "come and play"

My lovely daughter Raven and my sweet son Aeden graduated Thursday. My daughter from 8th grade and my son from Kindergarten. My babies are growing up so fast. My head is spinning from all the tears that I cried that day. So many feelings. Proud of the young people they are growing up to be and sad that they are just growing up. My daughter was on the honor roll and my son's teacher raved about how smart and well behaved he is. Being a parent is sometimes hard, frustrating, worrisome, and heartbreaking but it is always fulfilling.







The love you give and get is like no other. I am truly a lucky woman to be blessed with 4 beautiful children {& a loving hubby}.

On the home front...I painted the part of the column that was pumpkin, blue. I also found a different shelf to put under my window and painted that blue. Pics to come soon. I put one of my brownies on a shelf with my sweet dear I found at a antique store.

I'll follow you into the dark

Ok should I start this post off on how time goes to darn fast and bad blogger I be?? Nah! I have been super busy. When I say busy I don't mean doing fun stuff either. Just work basically. Once I get home from work I watch TV, referee kids, eat, shower and go to bed just so I can do it all over again the next day. Then I usher my days away so I can have 2 days of peace (yeah right). I have been trying very hard not to wish and wish the week would go by fast and the weekend would get here but I must say it is REALLY hard!

I got a creative bug up my butt last weekend and did a few projects here and there. Mainly played with cupcake liners. Fun. Pics coming soon.

I have been so into messing around with my living room I kind of put scrappin on a back burner. I did however manage to throw 2 pages together. I'll post those soon too. In the meantime I made this little frame thing. I used a prima refill canvas page and a dollar tree back of a frame. Really like how it turned out.




My living room has been ever changing and I got a few new pieces to share. I am STILL not satisfied with this room. It is a work in progress and I hope one day I can call it done. I am sure my husband hopes that too.



Isn't that pillar lovely?!? Its all chippy and cracked and shabby. May paint that fabulous pumpkin color turquoise. I really love the pumpkin but not sure it matches to well. Debating.

How bout that pic? It is a TTVF pic using my new/old Kodak brownie. I went to this lovely craft/vintage shop and I was in heaven! She has vintage buttons galore. I sooo scored with this place. Not to mention these fabulous vintage cameras to start off my collection. I have been wanting some for a while now but never seen them in any antique stores. They were a good price too. 10 each!
