As if she means it

I know we all go through this. I go through it at least 3 times a month. It usually is due to the fact that all grows quiet on my blog. No comments are being given anywhere. I start to feel like my work is lame. I question why I even do this. Then I remember, I do it to document my life. For me and my children. Yes that is something simple. I shouldnt forget it. We all get wrapped up in what other people think. It is hard not to. That is when we need to step away and re-evaluate. There is nothing wrong with wanting validation. Just dont let it consume you!

I have to say this past week has really made me feel special. So much love has been given on IG that it made my heart almost burst. I truly appreciate all the comments and likes I get and darn it, it makes me smile. I dont do this for comments, but they sure are nice to get! LOL!

With all that being said I have some more scraps to share. Here we go!

My beautiful daughter Aria. I love all these pics we took in the yellow mustard flowers. She seems to always be running around so I dont get many pics of my other 3 children. Used crate papers pretty party for this page.

This page I did about a weed. A weed that grows here and when I was a kid my mom showed me you can make scissors out of them. Silly little things. I mean they don't cut, but I thought it was soooo cool. I in turn showed my children. One time we made fairy houses and that has sparked my imagination along with the kids. I told them these weeds were also fairy swords. My 8 year old was hooked on finding stuff for fairies ever since. He brought me these. I had to take a pic. I love that he still believes in magic.Used crate papers story teller for this page and a few bits from my studio calico kit. The stamp is from the pieces of me workshop kit.

The winner of the blog hop will be announced the 10th! So come back and see if you won!

I would still be holding you like this

Ok before I get real with you all I have some scrap love to share.

My sweet grandma and me on Easter. I adore her. You all know this. She is such a special lady to me. I actually made this page for the SC NSD challenges. But I totally lagged on taking pics and didn't get them posted on time. Oh well! LOL!

This one documents my time at a bull fight...I am soooo against them. NEVER thought I would go to one. Thank god here in California they are not able to kill or hurt the bull. This page documents my feelings on the matter and the pics I took while I was there. This was also for a nsd challenge at sc. LOL!

This one has to be one of my fav pages in a while. I adore my daughter. I love taking pics of her. She is beautiful. This one was taken in SF. I used the May SC kit for this.

Lastly one of my sweet man. Yes I make lots of him and I. He is that 1 person that I can say anything to. Do anything with. I love him. Used the May SC kit for this one also!

Ok so time to get a little real. Don't read if you don't like real. Haha!

Well, I usually don't get REAL deep on my blog. I mean I save some stuff for my close friends and family... That being said I just read something that is really deep. Something that I half want to comment on and half don't. I wonder how many of you have seen the 2 peas thread about the drunk driving incident? I am not providing a link because honestly I hate drama. I don't wanna fuel the fire. I would like to say this. Words are very powerful. The internet is no joke and people judge you on everything you type. That's all they have. Your typed word. SO when you type, think long and hard what you are going to say.

I have had 3 very close friends and family die in car accidents. ALL were in their early twenties. ALL were from bad decisions. They left holes in my heart. When I am faced with something difficult, a decision involving another person, or an opinion I have to form...I ALWAYS put myself in the other persons shoes. ALWAYS. That being said I deal with things differently. If my poor decision resulted in someone else being affected, I am not sure I could live with myself. When I see the parents on tv that have lost a child or their child has gone missing, I always think I could never be that composed. I would never stop crying. I have to tell myself I am me. I am different. No one is like me. I guess what I am trying to get at is we all have opinions... I have mine. Should we post those for everyone to see? Is there a way to get your point across and not be so self righteous?

Lastly some advice, if you are going to post something so very personal and know it is going to affect people, have someone read it. Heck have 10 people read it. Take their advice. Sit on it and think long and hard. Your word is all you have for them to judge you. Use it wisely!

This is totally not my style. But I love it! It came together pretty quickly and I used a lot of old pics for these. Pictures that I may not have scrapped because the light was bad and the pics weren't great.

As I stated before I was super inspired and made another page. Have we inspired you? Well get to creating!

Living Dead Girl

Welcome to the Zombie Love blog hop! If you have arrived from Kate's blog, then you are on the right track. If you would like to start at the beginning, Click here!

I love zombies, horror movies, strange and unusual, some of you may know this, some may not. When I heard there was a zombie blog hop I had to be a part of it. I wasnt sure exactly what I was going to make but I knew it would be something fun.

I found these really fun stamps at my scrapbook store and went with it. I loved this one. He was so perfect...Now what to do.

Make tiny little note cards mixed with 2 of my other fav things, washi and chevron. I got the washi from Studio Calico kits and the chevron stamp is from a win on the Studio Calico board! WOOO!
Now the rules. Rules are you have to leave a comment here to be entered in to win the big prize up there. She will pick a winner from the comments on EACH blog and then pick a winner from those.

To win these little note cards I have a different set of rules. You must become a follower of my blog and leave a comment saying you have. That is it! If you are already a follower just leave me a comment saying you are and what you like most about zombies. Super simple.

I even made envelopes.
One more thing...My sister is making me a custom pair of zombie shoes...She showed a little sneak on FB...
Yes my whole family is super talented! LOL!

Dont forget to visit the other girls blogs for more chances to win and also to see what zombie-riffic stuff they have created! Thanks for stopping by!

Your teacher teaches class like you're some kind of jerk

I have issues. Issues with working. As you may know I am a Registered Dental Assistant. So not what I wanted to be when I grew up. I have been crafty my whole life. I mean seriously. I can thank my mom for that. I guess it only natural that the only thing I want to do is make stuff. I love creating. I day dream everyday of owning my own business. I have the place picked out. I know I have blogged about this before but it really weighs on my mind. I NEED to make it happen. I will. Maybe. HAHA! Anyway on to more stuff I made with my hands.

More studio calico kit making. April. I swear I used almost every bit of that kit! I LOVED IT!

Another page I had made with hambly. Sniff sniff. I am so gonna miss that company. I am glad tho that the designer Allison is moving on to other things. She is very talented.

Lastly I am gonna get a little more real with you all. Something that really bugged me when it happened. It goes like this...

How could I have forgotten? I can't believe I did, oh but I did. I forgot to blog about the current passing of MCA. Sometimes life has a way of moving so quick u forget things. Even things that have meaning. His death had meaning to me. I know exactly where I was when I heard you gotta fight. I was maybe 7. I grew up with their music. Even all those years later (5) I bought their TAPE license to Ill. It still was awesome. Still had mad beats. Still rocked my socks off. How could 3 white boys rap so good? They just did. They continued to spit mad lyrics. Through out my whole life and never expected it to end this soon. When I heard of MCA passing my heart immediately ached. My eyes filled with tears and I felt as if someone close to me was gone. Strange. I can't explain why I feel so sad but I do. I am sad for his wife. His daughter. His friends and family. Missed by me deeply.

If fairy tales did exist

I was a picture taking fool Sunday. I guess I was making up for the week of work. Who knows.

My kitty had kitties. 2. One boy and one girl. This is the boy giving his mommy a hug. Aww!

This one got the most comments on FB and Instagram I have ever seen...I guess you all dont have spiders like this where you are. I see these suckers all the time. He is feasting on another ugly spider. Gah! Now ya know why I hate spiders! LOL!

We also had a solar eclipse that day! So cool. We made some make shift solar eclipse wearing gear and got to see it. It was pretty cool.

Of course what would my posts be without some scrappy love. Made this using the studio calico kit. Again.

Studio calico papers. Yum. I love the little mushroom and glass bob.

One of the last ones I made for Hambly. :(

How was your weekend? Could you see the eclipse?
