Like the ceiling can't hold us

Been having a pretty good 2013. Ups and downs per usual but nothing really bad. I am thankful for that! I have been trying to create SOMETHING every day. I dont have to complete it but just start or continue keeps my creativity flowing. You really should try it. Even if it is only 10 minutes! As a result I have made many pages. I also have been using up the stuff I buy. That makes me feel super great. So I am sharing these with you.

Made with Studio Calico feb kit. Me and my hubby on valentines day at the movie theater... I scrapped these again...

I have gotten so many nice comments on this page. I really enjoyed playing with the modeling paste. Used it with a stencil and the Heidi swapp Gold Lame mist. Love. My new favorite thing to play with. I have another page coming soon that I used this with... I must say I love it.Oh and I love GLITZ!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE IT.


THis page too I got a lot of sweet comments on. That just encourages me to keep making...Of course not for the comments but it puts my inner voices to rest for a bit. Sometimes I look at my pages and feel like they look like poop. Then I get down on myself and my creativity and wanna give up. It is nice to see sometimes those inner voices are wrong...


Another one of my hubby and I. I scrap us a lot. My kids never stay still enough for really great pics. You do see them here and there but I just love taking pictures of me and my man. I know cheese. LOL! Used the Feb studio calico kit for this one also.


Ok so here is one that my hubby isnt in...My sweet beautiful 17 year old. Last easter. Again used the Feb studio calico kit. I try to use most of my kit before the other arrives. I did a pretty good job polishing this one off. I have a bit left but I am pleased with how much I used.

So my valentines day was pretty epic. Well not the actual day. I had to work. THe weekend after was... Well like I said epic. Here are some pics from that weekend.

My hubby and I had an amazing few days. It is always hard to come back to reality. We enjoyed ourselves so much. Watched movies, had lovely dinners, and just enjoyed each others company. WONDERFUL.

I was a cutting fool a few days back. I also figured out how to "make" my own cut files. I will share those with you soon! I love my Cameo.

Lastly a little sneak peek of some Whisker graphics dt work. Did I mention how much I am in love with Glitz? Well I am and this has a lot of it. Not to mention Panda Eight flair. Love Martha's flair! You need to check her etsy out!

SO how often do you create? Do you try to use up your supplies before buying more? How bout your kits? I would love to hear your way of using your stash.

Lying underneath the stormy skies

I have been a creating demon lately. Sadly none of them I can share. Just yet anyway. I find that very difficult. I like to share my creations right away. Sometimes when I don't I forget about them. Lol!

I do however have a few I made for a million memories. They are valentines-ish but that's ok right?



Used the ever so lovely crate paper for these which you can find in the store. Michelle always has a sale going on. I highly suggest u order from her. :)

I do have lots of peeks to share. Wanna see? Ok.

I really like the dear lizzy line. Honestly I wasn't liking it so much when I saw it. I passed it by a few times. Michelle sent it to me to play with and well you see up there I went to town. LOL!

Have I mentioned I love instagram? It has gotten me to document my life. Sometimes I grow to busy for it but I just pick up where I left off. Here are a few of my photos I have been posting.

Who do you think you are

I have to say my mantel has sat untouched since I cleared off all the valentines day stuff. I actually have been making pages instead of crafting for the mantel. I DO however have a few ideas. I will be working on those soon.

As I said I have been making pages a lot. Here are a few of those pages.
I made this one for the challenge over at Lilybee designs. Used Domestic Bliss. My crafty space. Why is it after you take a pic you notice things. Like the letters are weird. I fixed them but didnt fix the photo. Just know space is a little closer. *wink*


I also used Domestic bliss for this page. Love Lilybee designs. I only recently discovered them. I was out of the loop for a bit. Me being silly last year at lunch with the hubs.


Used sass Paper Crush. I really love that line. Me and hubby this year on valentines day.

This month is jammed packed with stuff and I have a feeling it is going to go by super fast. I got my extern site. I only have a few more weeks left of school and then I get pushed out of the nest...and work for free for 215 hours! Ha!

I am a little freaked out and I hope it goes well. I also have sealants on saturday. I'm a little nervous. Wish me luck on that one.

I'm setting goals for myself. I really need to be more organized. Stop living by the motto "put off today what I could do tmw." Need a new motto like "get it done early and all will be right with the world." haha!

Her green plastic watering can

Ahh the past few days have been simply lovely. Spring like even. I cant wait for spring. It makes me happy and fills my soul with laughter. Seriously. Sadly it is suppose to rain for 4 days. *insert sniffles*

I took my valentines decorations down. A little sad to see them go. I still would like to make more v-day treats but it is time to move on. Any guesses on what I am moving on to? If you said easter you would be correct! *wink*

I started making easter cards. Tara so kindly agreed to be my permanent swap friend so I had to start thinking of pretty little things to make her. I am so inspired by her. She had these adorable paper cakes on her blog that she made with her daughter. I got the idea of using the same kind of concept but instead making easter eggs.

I used the new Sass Smitten line for this one.



This one I used Sass mix & mend.




Oh and silly me I forgot to post that I wore my DIY sweater for our little v-day party.

& made me a little v-day hair clip.

Yesterday was the official day of love. I managed to make 3 Valentines day cards for the kids and my cousin.

My day was filled with so much love, kisses and hugs but I also got some pretty awesome things.

Seriously beautiful and fun. I truly have the best husband. We are in no way perfect...but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I took my final for this mod. B. Now I have one more mod left and then I go on ex tern. YIKES! Part of me cant wait and another part is a little frightened!

Lastly I will leave you with some cool news. I am now a proud member of the MPTS dt. Anna makes beautiful paper flowers and I get to work with them every month!

Valentines is just a hop skip away. Sadly I am not running away with the hubby this weekend. I have a final I have to study for all weekend long sooo we are moving our weekend to next. :(

That is ok tho it is just a day right? Right. We can celebrate next weekend.

Sharing with you today the last bit of my valentines decor.

I wanted to do more but I just kind of fizzled out. School has been taking a lot out of me lately. Almost done though.

Remember when I said I actually FINISHED a page when I went on a crop super bowl Sunday...Well here that page is.
It is me and my mama. I just really love this pic. I used Lillybee design paper. I have never used it and I really liked the collection.

This week has been filled with happy mail. I got the Feb AMM kit on Thursday and dug right in. I already finished two projects.
The quote is from Coco Chanel and it says "woman should be 2 things classy and fabulous." I thought it was fitting for this little plaque.

I have lots and lots more to make. I also have a project due for school. Making some foam teeth. Oh joy! LOL! SO not feeling it. Then I have a final to study for and we have a Valentines get together going on at the house today. Time to shut this computer down and get crackin!

Let your words live on far beyond this life

Today I have a little Valentine DIY to share. I have been pinning my little heart out over at Pinterest and found a sweater with heart elbow patches. I also had been to the thrift store and remembered seeing a sweater that would be perfect for some heart elbow patches.

I decided this MUST be something I do. It couldn't be to hard right? Right.

First you need your sweater. Of course it could be any color any type any size. Mine was brand new from target but I only paid 4.00. Yes I am lucky to have a thrift store located right next to our target so they get ALL their clearance stuff and sell it dirt cheap.

Supplies you will need.
Red floss or bakers twine would be cute.
Red felt
needle
sweater
scissors

You need to figure out how big you want your hearts to be. I made mine to fit from seam to seam on the sweater. I also free handed my heart but you can find many heart templates on google.

You want to try on your sweater and pin the hearts where your elbows are. I was being lazy and didn't try it on. {My hearts are a little low but you are going to do it the right way...Don't be lazy like me lol!}

Now it is time to begin. Knot your thread and com up inside your sleeve.

Half way through I figured out how to sew it without coming in and out the sleeve. This way is much much easier. :)

Finish it off by knotting it underneath.

Viola! The perfect Valentines outfit or gift!

I made this recipe for dinner. Yes it is a appetizer but it worked just as good for a main course. Throw a little green beans on the side and a roll and call it good. The whole family LOVED them. Simple to make. I highly recommend them.

Lastly I spent Superbowl Sunday with my crafty buddies Ginger and Diane. Had a great time.
