~Scrap for a Cure ~

So as you know I was asked to be the dec Guest Dt over at Scrap For A Cure...Let me tell you the kit is wonderful, the ladies are super awesome, and we should all scrap for a cure right? So here are the things I made using only their kit...

Out of all this stuff I made I still had paper, glitter, letters, embellies left over! I just wanted to keep making and making and making!



















This was a tough one for me because Im so use to getting whatever I want and putting them on my layout. I was super critical of everything I did...I look at it all and go man you need to do better! LOL! The girls loved it tho and am so happy about that! I really had a wonderful time with this kit. Its so beautiful. You should go check their kits out.

To kids from 1-92....

My great grandmother lived to be 100. She drank a Pepsi everyday of her life from the age of 50 till the day she died...She was a great lady. I wish I seen the things she seen. I wish I would've been into scrapbooking when she was alive and asked her some questions about the wonderful times she lived in. I wish I could live in every era every decade. I love history. I love to look at old photos and imagine I was there. What a nerd right? LOl!

Anyway holidays make you miss family that arent here anymore or maybe have moved far away. That's how Ive been feeling.

I did manage to get some scrappin done...And I also can post the stuff I made for Scrap For A Cure...I think I'm gonna post that one tmw tho. So for now another one of my sister...

All that glitters is not gold...

So true. I love glitter... You remember The Secret of Nimh? I feel like the crow that loves the baubles and shiny things lol! I truly love little things that sparkle and are vintage. Old vintage buttons and rhinestones make my heart skip a beat...Lace remnants make me dizzy and don't get me started on vintage paper ledgers, newspapers, and music sheets. Give me vintage or give me death! OK not really but you get that I really love the kitchy/Kitsch stuff. So I have a few things to share...I'm quit stingy when it comes to places or things I love...I don't like to share my resources...But someone shared them with me so I figure its time to pay it forward...

Inspired by...

So Colleen over at Scrapperie said to blog something that inspires us to scrapbook as of late...Well Christmas has inspired me these past few days. Ive been working on the kit from scrapforacure.com and made some Christmas layouts. Some of me when i was a kid. I love those old photos. Cant share yet but they will come soon.

I love those vintage cards and the cute vintage looking ornaments! How adorable is that! They both inspired me to go to my dollar store pick up some junk and try to make a Christmas book or some beautiful ornaments too. I just want those tho! LOL! Hope they inspired you too!

A little late

But I thought it was cute!

'Twas the night of Thanksgiving, But I just couldn't sleep
I tried counting backwards, I tried counting sheep.
The leftovers beckoned - The dark meat and white
But I fought the temptation with all of my might.

I Tossing and turning with anticipation
The thought of a snack became infatuation.
So, I raced to the kitchen, flung open the door
And gazed at the fridge, full of goodies galore.

I gobbled up turkey and buttered potatoes,
Pickles and carrots, beans and tomatoes.
I felt myself swelling so plump and so round,
'Til all of a sudden, I rose off the ground.

I crashed through the ceiling, floating into the sky
With a mouthful of pudding and a handful of pie.
But, I managed to yell as I soared past the trees....
Happy eating to all - Pass the cranberries, please.

May your stuffing be tasty, may your turkey be plump.
May your potatoes 'n gravy have nary a lump.
May your yams be delicious, may your pies take the prize,
May your Thanksgiving dinner stay off of your thighs.

Getting ready?

For thanksgiving? Do you cook for people at your house or go somewhere? I'am going to my mom's this year...My cousin and I were talking about Christmas past and how wonderful they use to be. Her family stopped coming by to my families and now its just my mom, my sister, my grandma, and my lil family. It kinda makes me sad. I love my cousins so much. They are more like my sisters then my cousins. Anyway enough of my whimpering lol!

Easy like sunday morning...

Sooo the winner is posted over at scrapmojo...Man this one was a close one! Go check it out girls! Also the sneak peeks go up tmw and the challenge goes up on the 2oth! We have a guest designer for our next challenge and she is one awesome girlie! She will also be announced tmw!

Ok on to other news...My grandma had a scare the other day...My mom thought she had a stroke...Took her to the hospital and it wasnt a stroke it was bells palsy...Sooo she is ok thank god!

My kids are getting the christmas junk out already! I thought i would start on the lights so that way after Thanksgiving we could have everything up and enjoy it for a while.

So I was given the Ok to share my awesome news!!! I am going to be a guest Dt for the month of Dec over at Scrap For A Cure!!! Ginger is an awesome gal and let me tell you Dec kit is beautiful!!! There is a sneak peek of it up on their blog... Scrap For a Cure Blog. My mouth was watering! I mean if that doesn't put you in the Christmas mood then what will?!?! I was doing a dance when she they asked me!

Also this is pretty cool too....exudes coolness. I mean how sweet are those girls? Man that totally made my week! To know someone enjoys your work just makes you feel like you're on top of the world. I mean don't get me wrong I love all my blog buddies who leave me loves! That makes my day all the time! hehehe!

Ok on to some scrappyness right?!?
I did this for the chit chat blog...I love shabby chic...Couldn't pass it up. And the prize well it was just beautiful. The girls who did the challenge man their layouts are beautiful...So I know I have no chance..but that is ok I got a page out of it!


Speaking of challenges....Scrapmojo's goes up in 4 days!! Its a easy one...and I cant wait to show you my creation...here is a sneak of it!



I am so in the Christmas mood! I want to decorate and sing Christmas carols and make Christmas goodness! I cant wait for that kit to come so I can bust out some holiday cheer! LOL. Hope you all are feeling it too!

Gloomy

Is what it is right now...Rain..I love it! This is the time I like to take a nice hot bowl of soup and curl up with a blanket...Stare out the window. Sigh..I wish i had a porch swing I would sit out and watch the rain for hours. I have a bench but its not the greatest or very comfortable lol!

Not a whole lot of time left for the challenge! I hope you are all working hard on your layouts for Scrap Mojo!

How are you today?

I'm fine thank you...I have some cool news but I wont share until I'm told I can! I'm so excited...

Also I have been doing some scrappin the past few days...Trying to do some challenges because money is tight and I would love some free scrapping stuff lol! So here we go..

So there we go...I wasn't feeling the unpubbed one so had to skip it. :) I have so much to do but yet I don't...Does that make sense? Ha!

My sisters birthday was this past sat and boy did we have fun! We played guitar Hero and sing star... Two of my fav games. We also did how well do you know your mother. Raven and I played that and we won. Only by 1 tho. I also won the game "how well do you know Janna" (my sister)what a shocker right.
