I looked around the net for beautiful lil crafty spaces to replace my old ugly one. This one I could so live with.
Cute.Sweet.Someday.
This weekend I did a bit of Valentines day crafting. I finally got my mantel all set up. I have to tweak here, step back, tweak there. It is done tho, I think.
Pete pots.
cost .15
Heart doily garland, pom pom napkin garland, felt heart garland.
The garlands cost me less then .50 to make.
Hurricane with wood grain, doily and felt hearts tied with twine. Inspiration came from Jenny Doh and Veronica Lopez.
Cost 2.05
I sat and picked out all the white hearts to fill my 2.00 milk glass candy dish.
Lastly picked some berry (?) sprigs from outside to fill my 2.00 milk glass vase. (Goodwill find)
I decided to do red and white for the mantel. I don't know why, just go with it.
:)
My decorations came in under 10.00 for the whole shebang. Of course the glass wares (which cost me the most) I can re-use elsewhere and will definitely get my money out of them.
The rest of my valentines day decorations to come soon and a tutorial on how to make the napkin flowers. :)
In other news hubby's birthday is Thursday. We are having a family get together and I think I am going to try my hand at this recipe.
I will let you know how it turns out.
